이 사진을 보니 피쉬앤칩스가 먹고싶다. 직접 찍어놓은 음식 사진보다 어찌 이리 입안에 침이 돌게 할 수 있을까.  정해진 비주얼보다 텍스트에서 파생되는 상상력의 힘을 다시한번 실감한다. 몇일전에 들은 정보로는 여기 집앞에 생긴 조그만 7000원의 피쉬앤칩스 전문 레스토랑은 ‘그저그렇’단다. 그저그러면 어떠랴. 내 입도 그저그런데.

피쉬와 칩 그 맛의 조화가 그리운게 아니라 영국에서 먹었던 그 피쉬앤칩스라는 단어가 그리운 걸지도 모르겠다.

I have unsuccessfully tried to make this so many times… They make it look so easy in Tampopo!

haha i always have to make it them in pairs. almost guaranteed, the first one will mess up (so i eat that one) and then the second comes out perfect (goes to whoever i’m eating with)
